Paul Seward

Physiotherapist

Paul grew up in the Cronulla area and graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy in 1984. He worked in the Gosford and Coffs Harbour regions prior to purchasing the current physiotherapy practice in Port Macquarie in 1986.

Paul was drawn to physiotherapy from his lifelong interest in sports and fitness and managing his own injuries as a junior sportsman. He has over 30 years of hands on physiotherapy experience, has a graduate degree in physiotherapy and is an “Approved Institute of Sport Provider”. Paul has worked as a physiotherapist with many sporting teams and clubs over the years in Rugby League, Rugby Union and Touch Football. 

What he enjoys most about Hastings Physiotherapy is the great teamwork environment and wonderful and interesting patients from all ages and walks of life. Paul’s areas of special interest include orthopaedic injuries and sports injury management; biomechanical analysis of movement to help with ankle, knee, back, neck and shoulder pain; extensive orthopaedic and fracture management; and management of long-term neck and back pain with exercise prescription. 

Apart from his passion for work, Paul enjoys spending time travelling with his wife and two children. He also finds time to enjoy surfing, playing touch football, cycling and flying.

Guy Terkelsen

Physiotherapist

Guy grew up on Magnetic Island off the coast of Townsville, North Queensland. He was drawn to physiotherapy and its amazing capacity to heal the human body. Guy enjoys helping people reach their physical goals and facilitating in their healing process. He specialises in sporting injuries, post operative rehabilitation, back pain, headaches, vertigo and dizziness. “What I love most about working at Hastings Physiotherapy is the positive environment, plenty of laughs, our friendly staff and Nick Ratcliffe's average dad jokes on repeat.” 
Guy holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy, a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science and a Certificate 3 in Fitness, Trigger Point Dry Needling, Kinesio Taping Accredited K1-2, and Sports Taping. 
Port Macquarie was where Guy’s family came to holiday since he was very young. He even attended Kindergarten here. His love for the region inspired him to make the move south with his fiance and call Port Macquarie home.

Nick Ratcliffe

Physiotherapist

After graduating from Sydney University in 1991, Nick served clients at West Wyalong hospital in the outpatient department. With a keen interest in sports physiotherapy, he moved to Brisbane, to work with high-profile athletes and national sports teams. After marrying his wife Sherylyn he moved back to Sydney and established his own successful private practice in both Lane Cove and Mosman.

Nick relocated to Port Macquarie in 2009 with his family and has never looked back. He is very passionate about physiotherapy. His experience in diagnosing and treating injuries will ensure a positive outcome. His interest in sports physiotherapy remains, but he is also equally happy to treat conditions that affect one's daily life such as a sore back or stiff neck. His 25 years of physiotherapy experience means he can treat a broad range of injuries and offer his clients great peace of mind.

Nick Ratcliffe image

Elise Ruthven

Physiotherapist

Elise grew up in the Camden area and completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the Australian Catholic University in 2014. Having an interest from a young age in sport and human physiology lead to her pursuing a career in physiotherapy.

Since graduating, Elise moved to Forster and has worked in the local private hospital and in a private practice for the last 2 years. Elise has recently joined our team and is looking forward to relocating to Port Macquarie with her partner.

Elise's particular areas of interest include; post-operative rehabilitation, neurological physiotherapy, sports injury management and treatment using Dry Needling techniques.

Outside of physiotherapy Elise enjoys paddle-boarding, going to the gym, travelling and spending time outdoors with family and friends.
